Publicis Groupe has formed a new leadership team to strengthen and accelerate the Groupe’s capabilities at a national level across Australia and New Zealand.

The Groupe Leadership Team (GLT) includes Michael Rebelo, who was appointed to Publicis Communications ANZ CEO last year, Publicis Media ANZ CEO Matt James, group VP Marcos Kurowski, Pauly Grant, who steps up to chief talent officer from Publicis Sapient MD along with Henri Raymond, in the new role of chief financial officer.

The refreshed leadership follows the departure of Publicis chairman Andrew Baxter, with Rebelo announced at the time to be absorbing his duties.

The leadership team aims to drive greater integration across Publicis ANZ and aligns with a broader shift within the global holding group towards its 'Power of One' model, which leverages capabilities across the group, rather than naming specific agency partners.

The new model has so far proven successful for Publicis, picking up the Mercedes Benz account and last week, Campbell Arnott's.

The leadership team will maintain their existing responsibilities while collaborating new opportunities and business initiatives, the statement says.

Appointed CEO of Publicis Groupe APAC in February 2018, Loris Nold will work closely with the leadership team.

“In Australia and New Zealand, The Power of One philosophy has been successfully implemented for some time, leading to multiple great examples of collaboration, whether on clients, capabilities, new business, talents and optimization initiatives," Nold says.

"There is no doubt in my mind that we have the right strategy in place, one with both a proven record and an exciting potential for transforming the way we work with our clients, as well as the opportunity it presents for developing and challenging our own talents. I can’t think of a stronger leadership team in Australia and New Zealand and I am convinced that they’re uniquely positioned to successfully drive the Groupe forward on our behalf.”
