Prophet has appointed Aysa Matueva senior software engineer and Ruxin Ma frontend developer.

Matueva will focus on platform engineering. Ma will lead development of the company’s user interface and customer experience.

Matueva joins from roles at ANZ, Culture Amp and Zendesk, where she worked on backend systems, distributed systems and data pipelines. She also worked as a full stack developer at General Assembly.

“I’m someone who thrives in building event-driven systems at scale, and I’m happiest in fast-moving teams, where engineers care about quality, ownership and solving real problems together,” Matuvea said.

“Prophet ticks all the boxes with its impressive tech stack and innovative product. I’m looking forward to taking on the architectural challenge of building a system capable of digesting diverse data streams.”

Ma began her career at Baidu as a product manager working on search optimisation. She has also worked at Himalaya Peak and QuickSite Guru.

“I was drawn to Prophet’s collaborative culture and its commitment to delivering meaningful business impact for clients,” Ma said.

“I’m excited to grow alongside a talented team, working with cutting-edge technologies, and contributing to solutions that drive real results.”

Prophet CEO Jordan Taylor-Bartels said the hires support the company’s growth plans.

“Prophet is a rapidly evolving organisation and we are continuously building and improving our decision intelligence platform to bring clients faster results and insights,” Taylor-Bartels said.

“The business is scaling fast and it’s critical that we have a world-class development team in place to meet demand and grow at pace.

“These new appointments will help achieve our ambitions, they bring unique experience and backgrounds to their new roles, making them well-placed to bridge technical execution with Prophet’s business objectives

“Both Aysa and Ruxin impressed us with their product-oriented mindset and their strong understanding of user needs; their expertise will be vital in enabling our clients to visualise insights and data-driven marketing decisions.”

The appointments follow the launch of Prophet AI, which the company says builds digital clones of organisations to simulate strategy.

Prophet launched in Australia in 2024. It was named AFR BOSS Most Innovative Company in the Media and Marketing category in 2025.
