Priceline Pharmacy’s "Misterhood for the Sisterhood" fundraising campaign, fronted by cricket legend Merv Hughes, has raised close to $1.3 million, beating last year’s $1.1 million.

This year Hughes enlisted some familiar, new Misters who have rallied for their states: AFL greats Glen Jakovich, Dermott Brereton and Tony Modra, and NRL stars Billy Moore and Braith Anasta.

Each Aussie legend represented their state and encouraged stores to raise the most funds for the Priceline Sisterhood Foundation, which donates 100% of funds raised to five charities: Look Good Feel Better, Children First Foundation, Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia (PANDA), Dementia Australia and the Bump program by Raise Foundation.

“Misterhood for the Sisterhood shows that women’s health isn’t just a women’s issue, and it’s amazing to see so many people come together to support a great cause," Hughes says.

"The Misters and I partnered with Priceline Pharmacy on this campaign because we believe it’s important for blokes to get on board and support the cause – women’s health is everyone’s issue. As a son, husband and father, I know how important it is to support charities that help women and their families.”

New South Wales and ACT raised the most funds, achieving $480,000, followed by Queensland with $220,000.

Over the last six weeks the ‘Misters’ visited Priceline Pharmacy stores to drive awareness and donations.

Customers were encouraged to head into their local Priceline Pharmacy and purchase a $2 Scratch-and-Win ticket for a one-in-two chance of winning a prize, or donate directly in store.

Each ‘Mister’ visited local stores in their states, giving them an opportunity to engage with locals face-to-face and drive in-store fundraising.

Priceline Pharmacy CEO Richard Vincent thanked customers for the generous donations.

“The $1.3 million raised will allow us to help our five great charities we support to continue their great work," Vincent says.

"Our store teams have done a wonderful job to bring the campaign to life and our milestone fundraising is a testament to the incredible work of our teams.”
