Arj Ganeshalingam, Patrick McClelland and Rhys Ryan, former Omnicom agency Porter Novelli Australia leaders,  have launched MGR&CO, an independent communications and advisory firm.

MGR&CO director Arj Ganeshalingam, who played a long-term role overseeing communications and reputation for Clemenger Group while at Porter Novelli, said the founders fostered an entrepreneurial spirit.

"We've been onboarding clients faster than expected in January, so we have the good problem of already needing to hire and grow our team" Ganeshalingam said.

“We are open to conversations with experienced consultants keen to work with smart, respectful colleagues who value each other and the power of the collective.”Former Clemenger Group chairman Robert Morgan said the three are the best communications professionals he’s worked with.

“From the knottiest problems to the biggest opportunities, they are exceptional practitioners who always delivered for their clients,” he said.

“Starting their own firm as MGR&CO is the best move they could make. I believe they will do brilliantly, unshackled.”

MGR&CO director Patrick McClelland, who is deputy chair of Agribusiness Australia, said working in regional Australia demands credibility and expertise.

"In agribusiness and regional Australia, you need to know. You need to know what you're talking about, you need to know agriculture and regional communities, and you need to know the right people," McClelland said.
