Porter Novelli has been integrated into FleishmanHillard as part of a portfolio review at Omnicom Oceania, with CEO Rhys Ryan, chief operating officer Arj Ganeshalingam and managing partner Patrick McClelland departing the business.
The three executives left at the end of December as Omnicom moved to simplify its PR agency structure.
"We've simplified our brand and leadership structure for the benefit of clients and our people, reducing overlap and bringing related capabilities together," an Omnicom Oceania spokesperson told AdNews.
Laura Hill, managing partner of engagement, will lead the regions practice.
Lex Penfold, FleishmanHillard's managing director, will lead the agency across Melbourne and Sydney offices, with Merissa Lennon and Nicole Hamilton promoted to general managers of Sydney and Melbourne respectively.
Omnicom thanked Ryan, Ganeshalingam and McClelland for their contribution to the PR agencies and regions practice.
The spokesperson confirmed further details regarding the changes would be announced soon.
