Katie Raleigh has announced her departure from creative communications agency Poem, where she served as managing director.
“After seven and a half very big years at Poem, the time has come for me to step away and try something new,” Raleigh said in a LinkedIn post.
“It’s been one heck of a ride and if I knew back then what I know now, I wouldn’t change a thing.”
Raleigh joined the independent agency in 2018 as group account director and played a key role in the company’s growth, including the launch of its content studio arm and expansion of its social and earned media offering.
Raleigh was promoted to managing director in 2025.
During her tenure, Poem won major accounts including Uber and McCain’s Masterbrand portfolio.
“When I joined, there were ten of us pitching like mad, trying to prove that earned ideas were the future,” she said.
Raleigh also helped lead major brand work for clients including Tourism Australia and played a key role in launching the agency’s studio capabilities.
“There are too many moments to list,” she said.
“But starting the studio arm, working with huge brands… reaching managing director level and taking home Ad Campaign of the Year last year, were all real pinch-me moments in an otherwise beautifully chaotic industry.”
Raleigh also praised the Poem team as a group of capable and emerging industry leaders.
“Massive thanks to Rob Lowe and Rhania Farah, we’ve been through so much together and come out stronger each time,” she said.
No successor has been named.
