Triton Digital’s Podcast Ranker for February 2023 has been released, with The Kyle and Jackie O Show taking out the top spot in both the Top 100 Ranker and Top 100 All-Australian Ranker.

After rising 17 places to number three in January, The Kyle and Jackie O Show totalled 1,060,541 monthly listeners in February. The over 4.7 million monthly downloads was nearly two million more for the month than the next podcast.

Casefile True Crime fell to second with 949,849 monthly listeners and over 2.8 million monthly downloads, while Mamamia Out Loud dropped to third with 577,279 monthly listeners and over 1.7 million monthly downloads.

Shameless, from Shameless Media, was a new entry in the Podcast Ranker for February, coming in strong at fourth place with 564,300 monthly listeners. Life Uncut rose two spots from January to finish at fifth with 459,591 monthly listeners. Another new entry into the top 10 for February was Squiz Today from Squiz Media, totalling 294,759 monthly listeners which was good enough for ninth place in the Ranker.

ARN/iHeartMedia remained at first in the Top Publishers rankings, with LiSTNR (SCA) and SiriusXM Podcast Network swapping places from January to finish at second and third. ARN/iHeartMedia tallied over 4.7 million monthly listeners and over 24 million monthly downloads in February.

ARN's head of digital audio, Corey Layton, said: “Today’s results showcase the success of ARN’s strategy to intertwine both radio and podcast audiences together, capturing listeners’ attention regardless of what platform they choose to listen on.”

SCA's executive head of LiSTNR podcasts, Grant Tothill, said: “It’s great to see our audiences build as both our local, original podcasts and international podcasts resonate with audiences, and there is more to come

“As award-winning investigative journalist Richard Baker partners with the LiSTNR team, we will also soon launch two new investigative podcasts. These launches continue to grow the LiSTNR network, offering advertisers greater opportunities to reach podcast listeners and a greater depth of podcast content for audiences.”

The Ranker provides insight into the Top 100 Podcasts as well as the Top 10 Publishers in Australia from 1 February through 28 February January, 2023, as measured by Triton’s Podcast Metrics measurement service.
