Triton Digital’s Podcast Ranker for July 2023 has been released, with Hamish & Andy remaining at number one in both the Top 100 Ranker and Top 100 All-Australian Ranker.

The comedy duo racked up 946,377 monthly listeners and over 2.1 million monthly downloads in July.

The top three remained unchanged from the June rankings; Casefile True Crime was in second with 754,335 monthly listeners and a July high of over 2.3 million monthly downloads. Mamamia Out Loud registered 598,169 monthly listeners to go along with just over 2 million monthly downloads.

The Imperfects jumped a spot to fourth with 575,441 monthly listeners and The Imperfects remained in fifth with 481,975 monthly listeners. The Kyle & Jackie O Show rounded out the top five with 503,134 monthly listeners and over 2 million monthly downloads.

SmartLess, described as "a podcast that connects and unites people from all walks of life to learn about shared experiences through thoughtful dialogue and organic hilarity", cracked the top 10, finishing in seventh place with 367,955 monthly listeners.

ARN/iHeartMedia, LiSTNR (SCA) and Audioboom remained at first, second and third in the Top Publishers rankings, with ARN/iHeartMedia totalling over 21 million monthly downloads, nearly double the amount of the next nearest publisher.

ARN’s head of digital audio, Corey Layton, said The Imperfects continues to provide Australians with something uniquely different, beating its past record by engaging over 575 thousand listeners per month.

"With 1 in 5 Australian adults experiencing mental ill-health throughout the year, it's proof that podcasts like these provide so much more," he said.

SCA executive head of LiSTNR Podcasts, Grant Tothill, said it’s great to see so many Australian-created podcast titles finding new audiences across LiSTNR’s podcast verticals of Entertainment and Culture, Sport, News, Factual and Drama, Parenting and Kids Entertainment and Radio podcasts.

“Our international and domestic partner titles also continue to perform well and as a podcast network LiSTNR offer advertisers new opportunities to reach Australians that are making podcasting a part of their daily audio consumption," he said."
