Triton Digital’s Podcast Ranker for March 2024 has been released, with Hamish & Andy taking the spot in both the Top 100 Ranker and Top 100 All-Australian Ranker.

The comedy duo rose five spots from the February rankings to tally 873,584 monthly listeners and over 1.8 million monthly downloads.

Casefile True Crime fell second with 823,645 monthly listeners, while Mamamia Out Loud held steady at third with 581,714 monthly listeners. Shameless dropped to fourth place with 541,225 monthly listeners, while The Imperfect climbed up 10 places from last month to round out the top five with a total of 508,752 monthly listeners.

ARN/iHeartMedia, LiSTNR (SCA) and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) remained at first, second and third in the Top Publishers rankings. ARN/iHeartMedia led the way in monthly listeners with 4,535,710 to go along with close to 15.5 million monthly downloads, while the ABC totalled 24,243,263 monthly downloads, the highest for February.

ARN’s head of digital audio, Corey Layton, said the iHeart slate delivers the highest engagement with more podcast hits delivering over 1 million monthly downloads than anyone else.

"Our partners and team continue to capture Australia’s imagination, which brands are benefitting from," he said.

SCA executive head LiSTNR podcasts, Grant Tothill, said LiSTNR has again shown audience growth across its owned and operated podcast slate and grown from February to March.

"Hamish & Andy has returned back to the number one position after a full month of publishing and LiSTNR remains the number one sales representation network," he said.

"To see growth of our radio podcasts along with our original crime, popular culture, and sport podcasts, along with the debut of A Life of Greatness and Footy Talk – Rugby League is very encouraging. The results are testament that LiSTNR continues to offer advertisers great opportunity to connect with the growing LiSTNR podcast sales network audience."
