Podcast Ranker: Casefile True Crime remains at number one

Triton Digital’s Podcast Ranker for January 2023 has been released, with Casefile True Crime retaining the number one spot in both the Top 100 Ranker and Top 100 All-Australian Ranker.

The true crime podcast from Audioboom racked up 531,623 monthly listeners and over 1.6 million monthly downloads, while Mamamia Out Loud also stayed the course from December, finishing in second with 470,097 monthly listeners and over 1.5 million monthly downloads.

The Kyle and Jackie O Show saw one of the biggest jumps to begin the new year, rising 17 places to number three in the Top 100 Ranker. With close to 400,000 monthly downloads and a total of 2.1 million monthly downloads, it was ARN/iHeartMedia’s highest entry on the list.

Stuff You Should Know came in at fourth with over 358,000 monthly listeners, rising two spots from December and totalling over 2.8 million monthly downloads, while LiSTNR’s Hamish & Andy fell to fifth 354,000 monthly listeners.

ARN/iHeartMedia remained at first in the Top Publishers rankings, with SiriusXM Podcast Network in second and LiSTNR (SCA) in third. ARN/iHeartMedia tallied 3.5 million monthly listeners and over 17.3 million monthly downloads in January.

The Ranker provides insight into the Top 100 Podcasts as well as the Top 10 Publishers in Australia from 1 January through 31 January, 2022, as measured by Triton’s Podcast Metrics measurement service.
