Audioboom’s Casefile True Crime finished last year on top of the Podcast Ranker, with more than 700,000 monthly listeners.
The December ranker, which saw 53.2 million total downloads, is the third consecutive month the true crime podcast has held the top spot with 772,844 monthly listeners and 1.95 million monthly downloads.
In second was Hamish & Andy with 600,842 monthly listeners and 1.35 million monthly downloads.
Nova Entertainment's The Update came in third with 399,793 monthly listeners and 841,116 monthly downloads.
In fourth was ARN/iHeartMedia’s Life Uncut with Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne with 392,194 monthly listeners and 1.05 million monthly downloads. News Corp Australia’s Shandee's Story came in fifth with 302,811 monthly listeners and 597,194 monthly downloads.
