Uniting NSW/ACT has appointed independent media agency Pivotus to lead its media strategy, planning and buying, following a competitive pitch.
The not-for-profit, which runs aged care, retirement living, early learning and community services across the state, wanted a partner to run a full-funnel media approach and lift awareness of its services.
Pivotus will work alongside Tortoise Shell Comms, led by Rob Howes and Mat Rawnsley, pairing Pivotus's digital media operations with Tortoise Shell's strategic planning and offline buying.
Uniting NSW/ACT chief customer officer Stuart Crabb said Pivotus stood out through its strategic thinking, curiosity and collaborative mindset.
"Selecting the right media partner was about finding a team that understands our purpose and the diverse communities we serve," Crabb said.
"We're excited to partner with them as we continue to strengthen customer connection, build awareness of the support available, and help more people access the services they need."
Pivotus founder Michael Petersen said the alliance brought specialists to Uniting across its strategy and campaign requirements.
"Having worked with Rob and Mat in the past, we knew that joining forces and offering the care and hands-on expertise that comes with a boutique indie agency would make our offering pretty compelling," Petersen said.
Tortoise Shell Comms director Mat Rawnsley said Uniting was a complex organisation seeking strategic simplification and better synergy across its services.
"This is exactly the kind of partnership and work we want to be doing, with Pivotus and, of course, Uniting," Rawnsley said.
Manon Gattolin will lead the Uniting NSW/ACT account at Pivotus, working with Howes and Rawnsley at Tortoise Shell Comms.
The partnership started July 1, with campaigns already running across Uniting's service areas.
