RACT Insurance, the Insurance offering of the Royal Automobile Club of Tasmania, has appointed independent digital media agency Pivotus.

Pivotus will work with RACT Insurance on its digital advertising strategy and online media buying and optimisation.

RACT Insurance marketing and product manager, Susanne Schantz, says having a strong presence in Tasmania helped Pivotus win the business.

“Pivotus is well known to us, as they’ve worked with our sister organisation RACT for several successful years, but it is the agency’s passion and commitment to Tasmania that makes them stand out," says Schantz.

"Pivotus’s enthusiasm for our business and achieving results is a winning formula and we look forward to working with the team.”

Pivotus CEO Michael Petersen says the agency has a proven commitment to the Tasmanian market.

"We offer value in augmenting the RACT Insurance marketing team in both digital advertising strategy and implementation," he says.

"We will soon be looking for additional qualified staff in the Tasmanian market as we continue to be referred to more brands looking to pivot to a reality where they are supported and empowered to grow their digital presence and businesses.”

Pivotus recently won the University of Tasmania account and appointed former MediaCom Vietnam managing director Lam Le on the ground in Hobart to service the agency’s growing client roster.

Le partners with Pivotus account director Audrey Fitte-Umark to lead the RACT Insurance and University of Tasmania accounts.

The appointment is effective immediately with OMD retaining RACT Insurance’s offline media strategy and buying.
