OMD has won the $100 million plus media account for the Victorian government. The account, previously with MediaCom since 2017 and one of the largest in Australia, has been out for pitch for almost a year. The master agency media services contract will run for three years from June.
Victoria University (VU) has appointed Resolution Digital as its media agency following a competitive procurement process. Resolution Digital will play a critical role in media strategy, planning and performance for VU’s brand awareness and performance campaigns. Resolution Digital is a full service digital agency, part of the Omnicom Media Group.
Global hair styling brand ghd has appointed GrowthOps Digital as its digital marketing partner. The three-year deal aims to strengthen ghd’s digital presence in Australia and New Zealand. The winning pitch, Let’s Get Straight To It, provided ghd with strategic insights for major sales events like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas and Boxing Day. It is ghd’s 20th anniversary later this year.
Cancer Council NSW
Cancer Council NSW has appointed Archibald Williams after a three-way pitch to help the charity create an overarching customer experience strategy to increase supporter engagement and loyalty. The strategy will transition the organisation from a ‘campaign/product first’ approach to fundraising to a ‘supporter first’ approach which seeks to prioritise the needs of supporters and their lifetime value. Archibald Williams’ strategic approach will centre on its ‘Value Accelerator’ customer planning model which will bring together data, brand, CX, content and media.
The Wired Agency has won the Australia and New Zealand digital and social remit for the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) Sydney Office, following an undisclosed pitch process. The remit will see Wired execute social, digital and content for KTO Sydney’s Facebook.
Heritage drinks brand Bickford’s has appointed Our Revolution as its consumer branding agency to tackle key components of its innovation growth following a pitch process. The independent branding agency’s remit will span brand strategy and identity, packaging design and an above the line campaign for Bickford’s Group, an enduring beverage company whose product portfolio stretches from waters to alcohol and has been quenching the thirst of Australians since 1874.
