AdNews wraps up the biggest pitch news and wins from the last fortnight.

IGA creative account up for pitch

Australian supermarket chain IGA is pitching its creative account, AdNews can reveal. 

Incumbent The Core Agency has held the account since 2019, releasing its first work for the brand in October of that year. 

PHD gets the AFL media account back

The AFL media account has returned to PHD.

The $15 million work, which PHD won from dentsu's Vizeum in 2019, went in house during COVID.

PHD is now responsible for all AFL activities and campaigns, which will be led by group director Kathryn Weatherlake.

UM wins Chery pitch

UM has been appointed media agency of record for global car manufacturer Chery, following a pitch.

The remit includes all media strategy, planning and buying in Australia, supporting Chery’s launch of all new vehicle releases in 2024, as the brand establishes its market presence.

Atomic 212° wins three new clients

Independent media agency Atomic 212° has won three new clients: VetPartners, Adyen and UKG.

Atomic 212° national chief executive officer, Claire Fenner, says VetPartners, Adyen and UKG are all innovative, market-leading companies with great people, great reputations and great brands. 

Avenue C wins KitchenAid pitch

Independent Avenue C has been appointed to media planning and buying for global appliances brand KitchenAid following a closed pitch.

KitchenAid was impressed with Avenue C’s experienced and knowledgeable team and loved that those pitching would be the team running the account from beginning to end.

Jaywing appointed by Crocs for paid search and paid social

Data, creative and performance marketing agency Jaywing has been appointed by Crocs footwear to manage paid search and paid social across Australia and Singapore following a pitch. 

Crocs Inc. brands include Crocs and HEYDUDE, with its products sold in more than 85 countries through wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels.

Havas Media wins Viatris and Uniting Church pitches

Havas Media Network has been appointed media agency of record for global pharmaceutical company Viatris and the Uniting Church's Uniting Property Services, following competitive pitches.

The remits for both brands cover media strategy, planning, buying, digital performance and search, with Viatris also including retail marketing.

Digital Minds Group wins two accounts

Lifestyle homewares brand Mustard Made has appointed Digital Minds to support digital marketing.

And Challenger Financial has awarded Digital Minds its SEO remit following a competitive pitch.

Moonsail wins Craig Mostyn Group creative pitch

Agribusiness Craig Mostyn Group has appointed independent Perth agency Moonsail following competitive pitch.

The agency will provide brand strategy, brand design and packaging initially across the client's brands including Amelia Park Lamb & Beef, Linley Valley Pork, Pure Pork and Jade Tiger Abalone.

303 MullenLowe wins tonies pitch

Global children’s audio storytelling brand tonies has appointed 303 MullenLowe its integrated trans-Tasman agency of record, as it launches locally in 2024.

303 MullenLowe’s remit, following a competitive pitch , extends across the full breadth of local marketing activity for tonies, including strategy, creative, brand positioning, social, PR, influencer, content, events and production.
