Pitch Wrap: Danone, Duracell, Adore Beauty

It’s hard to keep track of the account wins and losses across the industry. To help you keep on top of who has what, here’s a wrap of the pitches from the week.

Danone
whiteGREY has been appointed as strategic and creative agency of record for Danone Nutricia’s healthy ageing portfolio, across a range of brands, following a competitive pitch. The agency is charged with providing strategic and creative counsel to Danone Nutricia as it seeks to further develop its healthy ageing portfolio.

Duracell
MediaCom has been appointed as Duracell’s global media agency of record, following a competitive pitch. The win covers 32 markets, including Australia, the US, UK and China. The account will be run out of the Sydney office in Australia. The global account was previously managed by Starcom. MediaCom will take over the business on July 1. The Duracell pitch started in November and the key chemistry meetings and face-to-face presentations were completed before the lockdown began in many markets.

Adore Beauty
Independent full-service agency Cummins&Partners has been appointed by Austrlian online beauty retailer Adore Beauty to launch its first brand campaign, following a rapid pitch process. Cummins&Partners has worked across both creative and media for the campaign. Whatever Makes You launched on Tuesday across free-to-air channels around Australia.

Industrie
Independent digital marketing agency Sparro has won the Industrie digital media account, working across Industrie Clothing and Indie Kids. Sparro has been appointed to strengthen the retailer’s digital presence with a focus on improving the performance of search, social and use of audiences.

L&A
Australian independent social media agency L&A Social Media has announced five new client acquisitions to bolster its food and beverage division. The West Winds Gin, Champagne Duperrey, Dean & Monroe Prosecco, Zytho Brewing and Strength Meals Co. have each signed on the agency to lead their social media marketing and amplify their share of voice online at a time where cut-through is critical.

Polkadot Communications
Polkadot Communications has picked up five new clients. Online seafood market home delivery service GetFish, who has previously worked with the agency has re-appointed Polkadot Communications to support its home delivery service. The additional clients added to the agency include convenience food and essentials delivery app, DashDelivers, cloud-based levelled reading program, Wuskha and Mumble by Design, an acoustic solution that can significantly improve sound quality in classrooms and workspaces. The agency has also been appointed to launch Australian author Alex Ryvchin’s latest children’s book A New Day about the Coronavirus. Across the portfolio, it will be responsible for creating experiences, stakeholder engagement, content creation and influencer outreach, and media relations.
