Kia combines $34M media spend with Advertising Associates

Kia has moved its $34 million media spend to Melbourne indie agency Advertising Associates, dropping Havas Media's $12 million digital spend.

In 2020 Kia quietly moved their $22 million above the line brand media to Advertising Associates and Havas Media retained the $12 million digital expenditure.

But after Kia put its media account up for review earlier this year, the motor company has now combined its media spend with one agency, Advertising Associates.

Defence SA account up for pitch

South Australia's lead government agency Defence SA is reviewing its agency panel, AdNews can reveal.

The review comes after the contract for Defence SA's current panel of two - ad agency WDM Advertising and creative agency Toolbox Design - expires in November following a five year contract.

Defence SA is seeking to appoint up to three agencies for the next five years with no guaranteed minimum spend.

72andSunny nabs BCF creative account from The Monkeys

Super Retail Group-owned outdoor supplies retailer Boats Camping Fishing (BCF) has appointed 72andSunny as their new creative agency after a brand review.

The Monkeys, part of Accenture Song, was the incumbent after winning the account in 2019. This year, the agency won round 4 of the Siren Awards for BCF's A-to-Z for Boating Camping Fishing ad.

We Are Social expands partnership with Colgate-Palmolive

Socially-led creative agency, We Are Social, has expanded its relationship with the Colgate-Palmolive group after winning a competitive pitch for Colgate, ​​Hills and Palmolive.

This win comes off the back of a successful year partnering with oral care brand, hello - also part of the Colgate-Palmolive group - which sees the agency delivering social-first content that drives awareness and consideration.

Ryman Healthcare appoints M&C Saatchi for creative and strategic services

M&C Saatchi Group has added the strategic and creative duties for retirement living and aged care provider, Ryman Healthcare Australia.

M&C Saatchi Group's media agency Bohemia has been responsible for Ryman Australia’s media planning and buying since early 2023, while M&C Saatchi will now be the creative partner for Ryman Australia.

TABOO appointed creative agency partner for ACCA

The Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (ACCA) has appointed Melbourne-based independent agency TABOO as its creative agency partner.

The appointment follows a competitive pitch process and marks a pivotal juncture in ACCA's journey as it embarks on redefining its brand design systems while gearing up to commemorate its 40-year legacy in 2023.

Jaywing wins The a2 Milk Company SEO and digital PR pitch

Data, creative and performance marketing agency Jaywing has been appointed by The a2 Milk Company (a2MC) to lead SEO and to amplify digital content and PR across its suite of platforms.

Jaywing won the business following a competitive pitch and will initially focus on the a2 Milk and a2 Platinum brands, as well as consulting on the a2MC broader website portfolio in Australia.

VMLY&R wins WorkSafe campaign platform for three years

Marketing company VMLY&R has announced a three-year partnership with WorkSafe, Victoria's trusted workplace health and safety authority.

Following a competitive pitch, VMLY&R was awarded the crucial task of reducing work-related violence in Victoria through an integrated campaign platform that will roll out over several years.

Nunn Media lands Melbourne Airport account

Nunn Media has been appointed by Melbourne Airport as its media agency of record to guide strategy, planning, and activation across all digital and traditional marketing channels.

The appointment follows an extensive review involving a selected panel of independent and holding group agency brands.

Nunn will partner with Melbourne Airport to guide its consumer marketing across both parking and retail whilst continuing to showcase the airport’s leading customer experience as Victoria’s gateway to the world.

Weave wins Innocent Bystander creative account

Melbourne based creative company Weave has been chosen to lead the creative efforts for Innocent Bystander wines.

Weave has enjoyed a strong relationship with the Brown Family Wine Group (BFWG) since 2016, when they helped to craft the Innocent Bystander brand for their Healesville cellar door launch.

ZHIK appoints Resolution Digital as its digital marketing agency

Australian owned global performance-driven water sports brand ZHIK has appointed Resolution Digital as its full-service digital marketing agency.
