OMG led total new business wins for media agencies in Australia, generating $US103 million at a group level, in the half year to June, according to the Australia New Business Barometer published by COMvergence.
The win was bolstered by pitch wins for Bunnings ($45 million) and Kimberly-Clark ($16 million).
Publicis Media ranked a close second with $101 million, driven by 13 account wins including a mix of local and global accounts Paramount ($34 million), Mars ($34 million) and Flight Centre ($21 million).
However, looking at pure new business wins, excluding retention, Publicis Media ranked first with $100 million.
At the agency level, EssenceMediacom was first with $79 million, including Lion ($50 million) and NRL ($15 million).
PHD was second with $57 million thanks to Bunnings ($45 million).
Zenith ranked third with $56 million.
Accenture Song, with its new media planning unit, made its first appearance on the media agency pitch league, reporting two wins for $42 million.
In the first half of 2025, COMvergence assessed 92 media account moves and retentions totalling $US669 million.
Local reviews made up 91% of the total spend which is above the global report average of 61%.
