The Australian Association of National Advertisers (AANA) held it's annual Reset 2023 conference for the ninth year in a row.

Reset aims to challenge, provoke and re-energise chief marketing officers, business leaders and industry peers.

Speakers at the event included Rio Ferdinand - English footballer and entrepreneur, Ukonwa Ojo - former CMO, Amazon Prime Video, Bernard Salt - AM executive director, The Demographics Group, Sandra Martínez – CEO, Nestlé Oceania, Shelley Reys AO-CEO, Arilla Indigenous Consulting and Andrew Therkelsen – The Lab Strategy.

Being Better, the theme for RESET 2023 was chosen for three reasons.

CEO Josh Faulks: "The first is to recognise the power of our industry to be a force for good.

"The second is to acknowledge that community expectations have shifted and consumers are demanding more of us now. They are demanding we be better.

"And finally, we chose this theme as a challenge to ourselves as leaders in this industry. How can we lead our businesses to be even better?"

Topics discussed on the day revovled around marketing effectiveness, sustainability, purpose, DE&I and the future of marketing.
