Southern Cross Austereo hosted its LiSTNR showcase last night, wrapping up a national roadshow taking in Melbourne and Brisbane.
The evening centred on the company's strategic direction, with a focus on its merger with Seven and the continued development of its LiSTNR digital audio platform.
“Our new combined entity of seven and SCA reaches more regional Australians than any other network of 6.8 million,” said Seb Rennie, group chief commercial officer.
“That's a significant opportunity and a reminder that if you're not advertising in regional markets, you're not speaking to nearly 40% of Australia's population.”
Two panel discussions led the night. The first, hosted by Georgie de Visser, featured talent from across the Triple M and Hit networks, Beau Ryan, Tommy Little and Brittany Hockley.
The second examined the commercial and content opportunities of the SCA-Seven tie-up, with James Brayshaw and Aaron Woods joining SCA's head of sport, Ewan Giles, and Seven's director of network sport, Chris Jones, on stage.
The guest list reflected the event's industry focus, drawing senior buyers and planners from major agency groups including Carat, Spark, EssenceMediaCom, Wavemaker and Woolworths@Dentsu, alongside direct clients and independents.
CRA CEO, Lizzie Young, was among those in attendance.
SCA's leadership in the room included interim CEO John Kelly, COO Stephen Haddad, and CCO Seb Rennie, with several Seven executives also present. The night closed with a performance from Keli Holiday.
“By sharing and strengthening our data capabilities across both LiSTNR and seven plus, we're creating smarter ways for brands to reach audiences with greater precision, scale and impact,” said Rennie.
