Southern Cross Media has appointed Peter Charles managing director of Melbourne, heading both the Seven Network and SCA radio business.
He has served with Seven Network for 25 years, most recently managing director and Victorian sales director for Seven.
“The opportunity ahead of us is massive," he wrote on Linkedin.
“After 30 years in Melbourne media, I know exactly how much talent we have in this city, and bringing these two teams and iconic brands - Triple M, Fox, LiSTNR, Seven & 7+ - together is something I am genuinely proud to lead.
“This next chapter is all about setting us up for long-term success and ensuring our people have the support they need to do their best work.
“I will retain my current roles as managing director and sales director for Seven Melbourne, continuing to work directly with my brilliant Seven sales team.
“I am incredibly proud to continue reporting to Katie Finney and working closely with Ken Wood and the wider SCA Melbourne Leadership team as we align our goals.
“I’m also excited to work with Victoria Young (nee Toovey), who continues to lead SCA Melbourne’s revenue performance - Vic’s expertise is second to none."
