Optus extends M&C for a year

24 September 2014

Optus has extended M&C Saatchi's contract as its lead creative agency for a year.

Optus declined to comment on the terms and conditions of supplier contracts, but confirmed that M&C is its lead creative shop.

M&C was behind the telco's Clever Buoy campaign.

The move comes as the group's recently launched direct agency Lida, which integrated Mark, looks to defend the direct chunk of the business, which is currently out to pitch. It is understood to be up against three other agencies.

A spokesperson for the telco declined to comment on the agencies involved, except to say that all parties on the short-list have been contacted and the process is underway.
