oOh!media has renewed a long-term street furniture and advertising contract with the City of Ryde in Sydney’s northern suburbs.

The outdoor media group will invest significantly in the infrastructure and digitising the precinct and will replace and upgrade the existing 200 bus shelters to enhance the overall experience for commuters.

oOh! will also continue the responsibility of cleaning and maintaining the shelters with the company’s sizeable mobile operations team ensuring they remain in good condition throughout the contractual period.

oOh! will also digitise over 65 assets giving advertisers the ability to connect and reach a wider audience. The expanded oOh! network of assets bolsters oOh!media’s touchpoints in the area along with oOh!’s strong retail presence with two of Australia’s top luxury retail destinations Macquarie Centre and Top Ryde.

Cathy O’Connor, CEO, oOh! said: “With a current population of just over five million across the Sydney metro area, City of Ryde is a vital growth area with the ability to reach one in four people every week. Macquarie Park is forecasted to be the fourth largest CBD in Australia by 2030.

“This contract also cements our position as the clear Out of Home leader in Australian street furniture. We have demonstrated this by increasing our footprint, despite the pandemic’s impact, installing new and upgraded assets across numerous local government areas consistently throughout the year.”

Robbie Dery, chief commercial operating officer, oOh! said: “We are thrilled to renew our long-standing partnership with City of Ryde. It demonstrates their trust in oOh! as Australia’s leading Out of Home media company. It’s terrific to be working with a partner who is aligned to bolster growth and community benefit.

“This renewed partnership is a strong endorsement of our operating expertise to deliver the public infrastructure and importantly for advertisers, high volumes of audiences in key location's throughout the council."

Wayne Rylands, City of Ryde chief executive officer: “Ryde is a growing city and an exciting place for companies to invest and advertise. We are really pleased to be renewing our contract and partnering once again with oOh!media.”
