oOh!media renews Christchurch contract

Outdoor specialist oOh!media has renewed its contract with Christchurch City Council, extending its street furniture presence across the city's metro service bus shelters.

The contract renewal, which starts today, furthers the company's plans to digitise Christchurch's street network, with the number of digital panels expanding to more than 100.

"This contract renewal recognises the strong performance of an established network that is already delivering for advertisers and the city," said Kelly Harvey, head of oOh!media New Zealand.

The Christchurch network comprises more than 400 advertising panels across the city, covering key commuter routes and high-traffic suburban areas.

According to oOh!'s audience measurement tool knOOH, the network reaches more than 518,000 people fortnightly, representing 86% of Cantabrians.

Under the renewed agreement, oOh! will continue targeted maintenance and upgrade works in line with council requirements, including the introduction of energy-efficient LED technology to bus shelters and small-format assets, the first time this has been used for these asset types in New Zealand.

The expanded digital inventory will enable programmatic campaigns with greater flexibility and targeting across the Christchurch market.

“The increased digitisation of the Christchurch network will significantly enhance coverage and reach, strengthening the city’s role within our broader national street and retail offering and enabling more dynamic, data-led and programmatic campaigns,” said Harvey.
