OMA: Outdoor ad revenue up 6.51% in half year to June

Out-of-home (OOH) advertising revenue increased 6.51% to  $744.1 million in the half year to June, according to industry body Outdoor Media Association (OMA).

Digital out-of-home accounted for 77.1% of total revenue, up from 76% in the same period last year.

By category, roadside billboards (over and under 25 square metres) generated $298.1 million in the first half of 2026, up from $293.7 million in the same six months in 2025. 

Roadside other, including street furniture and bus and tram externals, generated $168.7 million, up from $152.1 million. 

Transport, including airports, generated $118.1 million, up from $104.4 million, while retail, lifestyle and other generated $159.3 million, up from $148.3 million.

The OMA also announced that StreetIQ has joined as a supply member. StreetIQ specialises in digital out-of-home, providing a cloud-based platform that enables media owners, agencies and advertisers to manage, schedule and deliver digital campaigns across screen networks in real time.
