Ogury, the creator of the first advertising engine driven by user choice, announced the opening of its office in Sydney.

Chris Manson will be the local managing director.

Manson has held leadership and strategic marketing roles for 10 years in media agencies UM and Bohemia. Before Ogury, he had been leading one of the industry’s top digital sales teams for New South Wales and Queensland at the REA Group.

“Concerns over data protection and privacy are increasing in Asia Pacific. By joining Ogury, a scale-up with a proven track record and success across the globe, I felt I could be part of a unique company with the ability to solve the challenges our industry is facing,” says Manson.

The Ogury Advertising Engine uses safe data to deliver ads in a brand safe and fraud-free environment.

Since launching in 2014, the company has grown rapidly in 10 countries, serving 1500 brands, 3500 publishers, and its technology is now integrated in 10000 apps.

Raphael Rodier, chief revenue officer International at Ogury: “Australia is following Europe’s early move in enforcing stringent regulations on consumer privacy and data protection."
