Nunn Media has made a strategic investment in independent media agency Thump Media, expanding its network into Brisbane.
The partnership gives Thump Media access to Nunn Media’s media platform and proprietary intelligence technology while retaining its brand, structure and staff.
Commercial details haven't bee released.
Nunn Media has more than $500 million in billings, employs 200 people and operates in Australia and the US.
Thump Media was founded in 2015 and has offices in Brisbane and Sydney, offering media strategy, planning, digital marketing, social and analytics services.
Under the agreement, Thump Media will integrate Nunn Media’s technology platforms, including Kaspar, its proprietary audience intelligence tool due to launch in the first half of 2026.
Founder and CEO of Nunn Media, Matt Nunn, said the investment supports the company’s growth and expands its footprint in Queensland.
“We’re delighted to welcome Thump Media into the broader Nunn Media network,” he said.
“This is a partnership with all the hallmarks of success, combining Thump Media’s high performance and local presence in Brisbane and Sydney with the scale and capability of Nunn Media.
“Thump Media’s integration of Nunn platforms like Kaspar will be a game-changer for the firm and its clients, contributing to more precise media campaigns and stronger performance.”
Managing director of Thump Media, Chris Franke, said the partnership strengthens its offer without changing the agency’s structure.
“This is an exciting next chapter for Thump media, an agency built from the ground-up by local expertise to deliver excellent media outcomes,” Franke said.
“Our clients will benefit most from new capabilities and services on offer while working with the same team of high performing media consultants.”
