Independent media agency Nunn Media has acquired performance agency Alley.

It's Nunn's fourth acquisition since 2013 and its largest. The others are Kruse Media Services, akamedia and search and PPC business, Innovate Online.

The commercial details of the latest deal have not been released.

Nunn Media has annual billings of more than $330 million. Its clients include Bendigo Bank, JB HiFi, Haval,13CABS, American Tourister, Godfreys, Amcal and Smile Direct Club.

Alley, led by CEO Nick Lavidge, is an award-winning performance agency with offices in both Sydney and Los Angeles, working with some of the most advanced digital brands in Australia and the USA, including youfoodz, tinder, Reece, and Netgear.

The Sydney business comprises over 50 team members, providing end-to-end communication capabilities, making it one of the largest and most advanced groups in the market.

Mat Nunn, CEO and founder of Nunn Media: “We have had a highly successful year at Nunn both in terms of organic and new business growth as well as our product and talent agenda.

"This is an important acquisition for our group giving us leading digital capabilities in the Sydney market, as well as e-commerce and digital creative capabilities at a national level, with Alley recently becoming a Shopify premium partner.

“Alley is a key component to our vision and three-year strategy. Nick is an outstanding leader and aligned to not just our business strategy but to our culture and values. On behalf of our entire Melbourne team and our Sydney business, led by Chris Walton, we welcome Alley to the group and are very much looking forward to what we will achieve together.”

Nick Lavidge, CEO of Alley Group: “Our success in using performance marketing to drive financial outcomes for our clients has grown Alley at exponential rates. As we continue to mature, we realise that our blue-chip e-commerce and performance clients could benefit from a broader media mix, outside digital performance media, where we have traditionally excelled.

“Working together with the Nunn team, we clearly saw the synergies between the two agencies that could provide even more value to our existing and future clients. Additionally, we were drawn to their history, culture and clear articulation of their strategy and vision which closely aligned to ours. We are thrilled to enter into the next phase of the Alley journey with Nunn Media.”
