Nova expands authenticated listening across connected TV platforms

Nova Entertainment has launched sign-in capabilities across major connected TV platforms and made enhancements to its Player apps, increasing audience addressability and personalisation for listeners and advertisers.

The network has expanded its Player apps to Amazon Fire TV, adding to existing availability on Apple TV, Google TV and Android TV.

Authenticated listening across these platforms gives Nova a clearer view of how audiences engage across devices and environments, enabling more targeted advertising and stronger campaign measurement.

App updates include a new Radio Tab allowing listeners to navigate, favourite and build a personalised playlist of stations, and a dedicated Win Tab for Club Nova and Smooth Collective loyalty programs to surface competitions from local stations and other Nova brands.

More than a third of Australians aged 25 to 54 stream radio each month, according to the Infinite Dial Australia 2026 report, with more than half of all Australians able to listen to audio in a connected car.

Michelle Golding, Nova Entertainment's digital strategy, capabilities and data director, said authenticated listening gave the network a deeper understanding of how audiences engaged across devices, content and environments.

"It enhances our ability to deliver more relevant advertising experiences, improved addressability and stronger campaign measurement, while also creating opportunities for smarter audience engagement strategies across our audio ecosystem,” she said.

"Enabling listeners to sign in across more of the platforms they already use allows us to create a more connected, personalised and rewarding experience, from content discovery through to loyalty and rewards.”
