Nathan Patrick.
Boomtown has appointed Nathan Patrick chairman, replacing Andrew 'Billy' Baxter who steps down to focus on international growth of his business, the 24 Hour Business Plan.
Patrick takes on the Boomtown role alongside his current position as Nine commercial director, regional.
He brings nearly two decades of regional media experience across WIN Television and Nine, including roles as Sydney sales director and commercial director at WIN.
Patrick said regional Australia represented a $250 billion consumer market with spending power that outpaced metropolitan Australia across multiple categories.
"By ignoring regional Australia, brands risk leaving 37% of the population behind. My focus will be ensuring even more brands recognise the commercial opportunity that exists beyond the capital cities," he said.
Baxter said it had been a privilege to lead the collective and expressed confidence in Boomtown's future.
"I leave the role immensely proud of what we've accomplished together," he said.
Baxter replaced Brian Gallagher in August last year.
