Independent agency Equality Media + Marketing has appointed Nicola Chandler senior account manager.
Chandler joins from Initiative London, where she spent more than five years working on multi-market strategy and planning, including contributing to global campaign playbooks for LEGO.
She has also held roles at Carat Australia and Mindshare Australia, leading planning for clients such as Schweppes, Mattel, Disney, Medibank and NAB.
In her new position, Chandler will work across existing clients and new business, strengthening Equality’s integrated planning capability.
“Nicola brings not only global perspective and strategic depth, but the kind of values-led thinking that truly resonates with our clients,” Equality Media + Marketing founder and managing director Marilla Akkermans said.
“Over the past six months, we’ve won a number of exciting project partnerships. Nicola’s appointment reflects our continued growth and our commitment to delivering brilliant service at scale.”
Chandler said the move to a full-service agency felt “like a natural next step.”
“I’ve always gravitated towards integrated media teams because they allow you to think bigger, plan better and make work that truly connects,” she said.
“What stood out to me about Equality is that they don’t just talk the talk when it comes to purpose and culture.
“They walk it every day. I’m excited to bring my experience into the property category. It’s a high-interest, high-involvement space where media strategy can really influence decision-making and I’m proud to be part of an agency that’s building something different.”
Chandler’s appointment follows a series of senior hires as Equality invests in talent to support its full-service model. The agency is certified as a Great Place to Work and continues to focus on sustainable growth.
