Welcome to the third AdNews and NGEN Podcast, a new monthly podcast that shines a light on young professionals and emerging leaders within the media, marketing and advertising industry.
In each instalment, AdNews will deep dive into the industry from the perspective of someone who has only recently started out their journey in adland.
In our latest episode, AdNews journalist Josh McDonnell spoke with Young Lions AU winners, Bohemia's Caitlin West and Myles Haslam about their time in Cannes.
Both West and Haslam talked us through the moment they were crowned the Australian winners, up until the stressful moments of the 24-hour brief in Cannes and into the sun-soaked afternoons sipping rosé on the beach.
"It doesn't really sink in until you're in a hotel in Cannes looking over a beach and the mountains, thinking what is going on?" Haslam says.
"Cannes is just another world, I don't think I've seen anything like it in terms of how many amazing minds you have in the one spot who are professionally inspirational one moment and the smashing rosé the next," West added.
The dynamic duo also gave us a breakdown of some of their thoughts on sessions they attended, parties they snuck into and standout moments from the whirlwind week.

The AdNews Podcast is recorded at Forbes Street Studios in Sydney and is created in partnership NGEN.
