News24, the news channel that used to be Sky News Australia, today rolled out a new name, visual identity and expanded digital presence across broadcast and streaming platforms.
The rebrand is a significant shift for the network, which has operated under the Sky News banner since 1996.
The new name and identity extend across redesigned on-screen graphics, refreshed program branding and a new network theme.
News24 is available on Foxtel and BINGE across four channels, News24 (channel 600), News24 World (channel 603), News24 Weather (channel 601) and Fox Sports News (channel 500), as well as on channel 56 for regional audiences in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.
A new digital suite launched alongside the rebrand, including the News24.com.au website, the News24 Australia app and free ad-supported streaming channels on Samsung and LG smart TVs.
The network is also expanding internationally, with dedicated US and UK editions designed to grow its audience beyond Australia.
News24 Radio remains available on DAB+ in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane, and through the Nova Player and Smooth Player apps.
"Today, we made history with our first broadcast as News24, a name forged from decades of trusted journalism," said Paul Whittaker, chief executive officer at News24.
"As Australia's first live 24-hour news channel, we have helped shape the news landscape for over thirty years. Now, as we expand our reach and take our distinctly Australian perspective to the world, we do so with a name that reflects not only our heritage and the scale of our ambition and vision for the future, but who we were born to be.
"Backed by the same trusted team audiences know and rely on, News24 will bring bold storytelling, sharp analysis and compelling opinion to more people, on more platforms, than ever before."
