bellamyhayden adds two
SYDNEY: Connections planning agency bellamyhayden, has made two senior appointments to its media planning and PR divisions. Mat Rawnsley returns to Sydney to take on the role of communications director, working across a number of the agency’s clients including NRMA Motoring Services, Tourism Tasmania and Breville. Rawnsley has 17 years experience working as a media strategist, planner and buyer in advertising and media agencies in Sydney, the Middle East and with kwp! in Adelaide, where he has been media director since 2006. Additionally, Louise Pogmore has been appointed Director of bellamyhayden’s PR division, Chatterbox. Prior to bellamyhayden, Pogmore held senior positions with leading global PR agencies Hill & Knowlton, Edelman and Porter Novelli. She has also led the marketing communications function for Luke Mangan’s group of restaurants.
Socialista hire Eid
SYDNEY: Digital youth media and marketing agency Socialista has hired ex-Tequila Sydney digital business director, Luke Eid, as general manager. Eid's hire comes shortly after the company signed a partnership deal with Buzz Media to handle the company’s online sales in Australia. Eid has more than 10 years experience in digital media and has worked on both client side in digital marketing and on agency side in client service, business development and strategy. At Tequila he led several of the agency’s key accounts including Coopers, Pacific Brands and SA Tourism. 
Dig sets up Sydney office
SYDNEY: Dig Marketing Group has established a Sydney base, with one of the group's directors, Fiona Findlay, to take charge of the new office. Findlay, who was previously based in Melbourne, will be providing sales and distribution strategy for Dig's roster of wine and beverage businesses, which include Dan Murphy's and Voyager Estate. 
Production starts for Top Gear Australia
SYDNEY: Production for Nine Network's first series of Top Gear Australia has started. Shane Jacobson, Ewan Page and Steven Pizzati will fron the new show, which is based on the British BBC Top Gear phenomenon. Shane Jacobson is best known for his television and film roles; Ewan Page is the editor-in-chief of Top Gear Australia magazine and the topgear.com website; and Steve Pizzati is an advanced driving instructor, racing driver, freelance motoring journalist and stunt driver. Top Gear Australia is produced by Freehand.
