News Corp Australia has maintained its position as the country's number one news publisher for the entire year, holding the top spot for 12 consecutive months according to Ipsos iris December 2025 rankings.
The media giant reached an average of 18 million Australians monthly throughout 2025, representing four in five online Australians and marking a 3.8 per cent increase year-on-year. The company also delivered an engaged reach of 145 average browser page views per person monthly.
Video performance was a standout for News Corp in 2025, with the company recording more than 83 million video views on average per month, up 78% on the previous year, while audience growth surged 49% year-on-year.
In the News category specifically, News Corp Australia commanded a monthly average audience of 14.53 million and 546 million browser page views, delivering an engaged reach of 37 average browser page views per person, up 5.4%.
Average time spent reached 45 minutes per person per month, with 64 million video views on average per month, 68.6% higher than the 2024 average.
"Throughout 2025, more Australians came to our trusted news and lifestyle sites more often and engaged more deeply, driving year-on-year growth that extended our leadership," said Pippa Leary, managing director and publisher, Free News and Lifestyle.
"Strong demand for quality news, information and video kept News Corp Australia the leading news publisher for 12 consecutive months. Our highly engaged audiences lifted engaged reach, combining scale and quality to deliver better outcomes for clients."
December 2025 proved particularly strong across News Corp's portfolio.
Taste.com.au topped the Lifestyle category at brand level, delivering the highest audience and engaged reach in the top five with 5.19 million users, up 18% on the previous month, and 106 million browser page views.
Its engaged reach hit 20 average browser page views per person, up 8% month-on-month.
News.com.au pulled 12.31 million users and 344 million browser page views, with an engaged reach of 29 average browser page views per person.
The site recorded an average time spent of 34 minutes per person and 68 million video views, representing 66% of all video views in the News category.
Streaming service Tubi showed significant growth with audience numbers up 120% year-on-year and 20% month-on-month, while its 14-24 audience alone grew 41% on the previous month.
