Unruly founders reveal succession plan

Unruly founders Sarah Wood, Scott Button and Matt Cooke will stepping back from operational roles to take up board positions at the video ad tech company. The trio set up the company 12 years ago and said they look forward to passing the baton on to new leadership. This will include Steve Hayes taking on the CTO role, Ken Suh stepping into the role of COO and Louise Tullin becoming CMO. The company is on the hunt for a new CEO to start in April 2018.

An email circulated to staff said: “As you can imagine, after 12 exhilarating years of building a global business and challenging the norms of adtech at every step, we are looking forward to handing the baton to our highly experienced and talented executive team, whose ambitious vision for Unruly 2020 will ensure that we continue to deliver wow for advertisers and take the lead on transforming advertising for the better, as well as upholding the Unruliness you have all come to expect.”

In Australia, Maxus national investment head Ricky Chanana will fill the vacant Unruly MD role in November.
