Will the top knot ads turn into top notch sales?

Old school hair brand moves into the future with Snap ads

In the first sponsorship of a Snap Show in Australia, Unilever is promoting its Tony&Guy brand on Nail the Look, a fashion-based reality show exclusive to Snap. The ad promotes a collection of hair care and styling products and shows the major Dutch-British transnational consumer goods company is putting its marketing dollars firmly behind the image messaging mobile app. Unilever is running three five-second Snap Ads, using suspense to show how to create the 'Messy Top Knot'. They are full-screen and play with sound. The ad will run on Nail the Look, which features two aspiring stylists competing against one another to “craft the perfect look.” The show is hosted and judged by celebrity stylist Sophie Lopez, the stylist for actress Kate Hudson.Tony&Guy, which stated in London in 1963, was acquired by Unilever in 2009 for $411.5 million, with the intention of making the product available to the mass market.

VCCP wins Torrens University Australia creative account

Torrens University Australia has appointed VCCP as its new brand strategy partner and creative agency for 2018, following a competitive pitch including five agencies. This is the first time the university is working with an agency on a retainer basis. It's the first win for VCCP since it partnered with London-based branding agency SomeOne. One of the main reasons for the appointment of VCCP has been the growth at Torrens University in recent years, and the alignment between the University and VCCP as a changemaker in the branding space.
