Starcom wins $5m Ego media account

Starcom Melbourne has won the Ego Pharmaceutical’s media account without a pitch. Ego, the manufacturer of QV Skincare, Sunsense and more than 100 individual products, spends about $5 million in media each year. Last year the company appointed Nova radio host Kate Ritchie as an ambassador for the QV brand. “We’re thrilled to be working with a family owned business, founded in Melbourne, which has gone on to huge local and international success,” Starcom Melbourne managing director Peter Toone says. “QV has carved its own path and not compromised on its core beliefs, making the company a great fit for our agency.”

Nine launches Married at First Sight podcast

To coincide with the launch of the new series of Married at First Sight, Nine has launched its first weeky podcast - Sweet Spot. Featuring Brisbane journalist and relationship commentator Katherine Feeney, the podcast will recap the show as well as examine all aspects of relationships from dating to sex, love and marriage. The first episode, which was released yesterday on iTunes, did not feature any advertising.
