OMD poaches Starcom director to head up Telstra account

OMD Sydney has appointed Hamish Strahorn to the position of head of Telstra. Strahorn joins OMD from his role as business director at Starcom where he led the Suncorp Group client operations and delivered strategic output across the Brisbane agency. In 2015, he was selected and completed the Marketing Academy, an Australian Leaders nine month programme aiming to develop leadership skills of 30 high potential marketers.

Atomic 212 ramps up Melbourne presence

Atomic 212 is continuing its Melbourne expansion with nine senior recruits to service the Origin Energy account the agency took out earlier this year. One new Melbourne hire includes former MediaCom implementation planning and investment director, Lorraine Woods, who now holds the position of Atomic 212° head of trading from Melbourne. Eliza Golub also joins from Dentsu Mitchell, where she previously held the position as client service director.

Atomic Group GM Claire Fenner, who was a launch member of the agency, has now relocated to Melbourne to head up the offering. Atomic also has offices in Sydney, Auckland and Newscastle.
