NYE offers 'unique' branding opportunity

Getting involved in Sydney's New Year's Eve celebrations provides brands like Telstra a unique opportunity to tap into a “global positive sentiment”, Imagination director Heath Campanaro says. The creative agency behind Sydney's NYE celebrations has teamed up with the telco and City of Sydney to offer 360-degree online footage of the event and an app that allows users to stream the fireworks, receive live updates and find out the best vantage points. “These moments are about passion, celebration and love,” Campanaro said. “They are the things we live for, save for, travel half way across the world to be there for, and share with the people we love the most. What brand wouldn’t want to share in that?” This year's event, themed 'City of Colour', positions the Harbour Bridge at the heart of celebrations. Highlights include an extra 2,400 fireworks and emerging artists' works displayed on its pylons.
