Marketforce CEO steps down

John Driscoll, CEO of Clemenger BBDO-owned Perth-based marketing agency Marketforce, is leaving the business after almost 30 years. Clemenger group chairman Robert Morgan says Driscoll has done a “superb” job leading the company for the past 13 years, and thanks Driscoll for his “magnificent” career. Driscoll will be succeeded by Paul Everingham, ex-CEO of Perth-based public affairs firm GRA Everingham. Driscoll will depart in September.

Snapchat is expanding into the world of mapping

Snapchat’s next big feature wants to get you to meet up with friends in real life rather than just watching each other’s lives on your phones. Snap Map lets you share your current location, which appears to friends on a map and updates when you open Snapchat. It’s rolling out today to all iOS and Android users globally. A trailer for the feature shows two women browsing a map in Snapchat and tapping on a friend’s location to see posts shared from the area.
