Love sues Google for ad which features a 'copy' of her voice

Veteran singer Darlene Love is suing Google and its US ad agency 72 & Sunny for "violation of her publicity rights" for using her song It's A Marshmallow World in a smartphone ad.

The lawsuit doesn't contend that Google or the ad firm has violated the copyright of the song. Instead, Love states that the global commercial broadcast "embodies" her identity "through the copying of her voice".

Goa launches flagship digital screen

Queensland-based billboard and signage company, Goa, has launched a new flagship digital screen, The Valley Iconic. The screen is more than 150 square metres in size and joint MD Chris Tyquin says it has the potential to "completely change Brisbane's out of home landscape".

“This screen alone reaches over 10%of Brisbane’s population every week and that doesn’t take into account the ‘wow factor’ of its bespoke industrial design,” Tyquin says.
