Cummins&Partners has been named creative agency for yogurt brand Chobani follows a competitive pitch earlier this year. Cummins&Partners will work with the team to further build the brand in Australia and look to challenge the “conventional ways” of marketing in the category. 

GroupM's marketing lead takes on WPP role

GroupM business development and marketing officer Greg Graham has had his role expanded to include group marketing director duties for parent company WPP AUNZ. The WPP role is a newly-created position. Graham, a GroupM veteran of 28 years, will split his time between the two organisations from January 2017. “We’re incredibly lucky to have someone with Greg’s extensive new business and marketing expertise. He knows this business inside out and his valuable insights will benefit all our WPP AUNZ companies. I look forward to working with him to pursue even greater growth opportunities for the group,” WPP AUNZ group business director Rob Currie said.

Snapchat integrates with Shazam and launches a group chat function

Snapchat has launched a slew of new features just in time for Christmas, including a partnership with Shazam, a new group chat function and two new creative tools. The latest update, available now, allows users to Shazam within the Snapchat camera by pressing and holding the screen to identify a song. The Groups functionality is a new way to communicate with up to 16 friends within the Snap app. A paintbrush and a scissor tool enhances the creative offering, allowing people to turn their own faces into stickers as well as decorate their pictures. So far on Twitter, users are loving the updates:

iProspect promotes Ollie Rapson and Huxley Stewart

Digital performance agency iProspect, part of the Dentsu Aegis Network, has promoted Ollie Rapson to GM business performance and Huxley Stewart as GM Melbourne. In the newly created role, Rapson will assume responsibility for all business operations and talent across the three iProspect offices in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, along with sister agency Scorch. Rapson has been at the business for three years and Stewart four years. 

MEC boosts performance team

MEC Australia has bolstered its growing performance team with the appointment of Scott Glitz to the newly created role of technical planning director. Glitz joins from Starcom MediaVest Group, where he has worked for the past six years in Canada and Australia across the likes of Microsoft, Optus and Samsung. With Scott’s appointment, MEC has strengthened its performance roster, aiming to help clients navigate the complex decisions and processes involved in data-led, audience planning designed to maximise return on investment.
