APN sets date for ARM vote

APN has set a date for its shareholders to vote on the proposed sale of its regional media business, ARM. It was announced in June that News Corp had agreed to buy the business for $36.6 million. This deal will see News Corp gain a media presence in regional centres across Queensland. Now the deal has to be agreed to by APN's shareholders, who will get to vote on the matter on 16 September at 10am.

Former Mamamia editor-in-chief Jamila Rizvi joins News Corp

Former Mamamia editor-in-chief Jamila Rizvi has resurfaced as a contributor for News Corp’s news.com.au and parenting website Kidspot.com.au. Rizvi stepped back from her role at Mamamia from editor-in-chief to editor-at-large earlier this year, to concentrate on her new family. She then quietly exited that role completely, but was still to contribute to Mamamia, MD Kylie Rogers previously told AdNews.
