Nora-Kate O'Connell has been appointed chief marketing officer of Pizza Hut Australia, joining restaurant franchisee operator Flynn Group ANZ after more than 11 years at KFC.

O'Connell most recently served as chief marketing officer for KFC North Asia, based in Singapore, overseeing brand strategy across one of the brand's fastest-growing regions.

Before that O'Connell held a series of senior roles with KFC South Pacific in Australia, spanning retail marketing, digital and e-commerce, and sponsorships.

During her time at KFC, O'Connell grew the brand's digital sales mix to 15% from 2% over three years and helped build out its first global ordering app.

Flynn Group, which acquired the Pizza Hut master franchise in Australia in 2023, operates close to 300 restaurants and has flagged plans to open 100 more over the next five years.

"To have the opportunity to join such a global legacy brand, with so much potential, at a time that Flynn have such ambitious plans is something I have always wanted to go after in my career," O'Connell said.
