Internet forum Reddit has uncovered the local pricing for Netflix, with a three-tiered pricing system starting at $8.99 per month confirmed for the Australian launch tomorrow.

The forum uncovered the pricing and catalogue for the long-anticipated local service yesterday, and the company has since confirmed to various sources the leak was pretty much spot-on.

Netflix's entry level of $8.99 per month will undercut subscription video on demand rivals Stan and Presto by at least $1 per month, but its pricing only includes standard definition streams.

While Presto's Entertainment offering at $9.99 per month also only includes standard-definition, Fairfax-Nine joint venture Stan offers high-definition content at $10 per month.

The next tier up allows for HD streaming at $11.99 per month while users will be able to stream 4K Ultra-HD content at $14.99 per month.

It is also believed Netflix has secured the first two seasons of Orange is the New Black.

There had been questions over whether Netflix would be able to stream its own original content in Australia, given Foxtel had secured the Australian rights to the show.

It appears that Foxtel, however, will have first run rights for season three of the show.
