Marketing measurement company Mutinex has promoted Rupert Pay to senior business director and head of commercial partnerships, expanding his remit to include the company’s media and publisher relationships.

Pay joined Mutinex earlier this year and will now oversee its commercial partnerships program with major publishers and out-of-home players including News Corp Australia, with more to be announced at Marketers & Money on November 25.

The program aims to strengthen collaboration between advertisers and media owners through transparent, third-party measurement frameworks and to reduce reliance on self-assessment.

Mutinex CEO and co-founder Henry Innis said Pay had made an immediate impact by driving commercial outcomes.

“Ru's leadership is accelerating our mission to make independent measurement a core part of how the industry operates. When publishers and advertisers can align around trusted, objective frameworks everyone wins,” Innis said.

Pay said the expanded role was a natural step as Mutinex builds its partnerships across the media and marketing sector.

“Media owners play a critical role in helping marketers understand what works,” he said.

“By creating more transparent connections between platforms, publishers, and independent modelling tools, we can raise the bar for how marketing performance is measured and trusted.”

The partnerships function will sit within Mutinex’s Marketing Effectiveness Platform, integrating with its network of media collaborators.
