Multicultural Outdoor Media hits 250-screen milestone

Multicultural Outdoor Media (MCO), a digital out-of-home network dedicated to multicultural communities, has activated its 250th screen.

The network places digital screens within Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese and Arabic retail environments, delivering in-language content to consumers in community shopping hubs.

MCO said its next phase of expansion would continue scaling across NSW, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia, with a particular focus on deepening its NSW footprint across high-footfall grocery hubs.

Ronnie Navani, CEO and founder of MCO, said the milestone validated that Australia's media landscape was fundamentally changing.

"For too long, multicultural marketing was treated as a box-ticking exercise or a basic translation chore," he said.

“At MCO, we've built a network that treats these high-growth communities with the commercial and cultural respect they deserve.

“This next chapter, particularly our aggressive push into NSW, is about scaling that impact and giving brands the exact infrastructure they need to show up authentically right in the heart of the community.”

MCO noted that more than 21% of Australians speak a language other than English at home, and nearly half the population has a parent born overseas.
