Richard Morgan to the Greenhouse Collective to work on Woolworths

M&C Saatchi Group has appointed Richard Morgan as the ECD for Greenhouse Collective, further solidifying the agency's commitment to fostering creativity and innovation with the Woolworths Group. Working as a copywriter and ECD within agencies including AMV•BBDO, BMF, Publicis Mojo, 303MullenLowe, AnalogFolk and DDB, he has delivered campaigns such as ‘Captain Risky’ for Budget Direct, ‘McDonald’s to Maccas’, XXXX Island and the Hyundai ‘4 Second Reviews’ campaign.

Slingshot restructures, Jane Waterhouse becomes MD

Independent media agency Slingshot Media and its content and creative arm, onesmoothstone, have restructured to meet the demands of a converging media environment with creative at its core. As part of the changes, a new executive and senior leadership team has also been installed to drive client and agency growth by capitalising on critical thinking skills across media and creative. Jane Waterhouse, general manager of onesmoothstone and former GM of Are Media, becomes managing director of Slingshot working alongside CEO Simon Rutherford and CIO Simon Corbett.

Kantar Australia promotes from within for new leadership in media practice

Kantar Australia has promoted Allan Breiland and Sharon Hilton into a joint head of media effectiveness role. Breiland has worked in the Australian media industry understanding brand effectiveness for more than a decade along with in-depth experience in media in both Southeast Asia and the US. Hilton's 13 years of experience in research focused on media planning, strategy and campaign evaluation.

Rich Berney and John Linton launch new agency Berlin

Rich Berney and John Linton, the ex-303 MullenLowe agency leaders, have launched their new independent offering Berlin. The agency was unveiled to clients, collaborators, friends and family at an event in Perth. The creative duo departed 303 MullenLowe Perth back in February after a combined 26 years there.

Nicholas Robson joins Lemma as director of sales for Australia

Lemma, an omnichannel supply side platform for emerging media, has appointed Nicholas Robson as director of sales for Australia. He was most recently with InMobi where he was head of agency and strategic clients and has previously worked with Unruly as the executive group sales director. Based in Sydney, Robson will be responsible for expanding Lemma’s presence in Australia through strong partnerships with media agencies, publishers and brands.

Engaging.io appoints US lead

Following its US launch, Sydney independent agency Engaging.io has appointed Melissa Erickson to lead the growing North American business. A digital transformation leader with 15 years experience in tech consulting, Erickson has been appointed as North America solutions consulting lead. She will work in partnership with Ben Whitehead who recently joined Engaging.io in the US as sales and solutions consultant.

Former Nine editor Belinda Grant-Geary named head of Yahoo Finance Australia

Yahoo has appointed editor and journalist Belinda Grant-Geary as head of Yahoo Finance Australia. The appointment, effective immediately, will see Grant-Geary take charge of Yahoo Finance’s editorial strategy and team, reporting to Euan Black, director of content at Yahoo Australia. In her new role, she will continue Yahoo Finance’s focus on the cost of living, telling the stories of everyday Australians battling the current crisis.

Bastion Reputation appoints Campbell Fuller principal consultant

Bastion Reputation has appointed Campbell Fuller to principal consultant, crisis, risk and regulation. Campbell most recently held the position of executive director communications at New South Wales Treasury. Prior, he spent nine years as general manager communications and media relations at the Insurance Council of Australia.Campbell joins Bastion Reputation’s Sydney office with Tess Salmon, fellow principal consultant, major infrastructure and industry transition, and consultants Sally Taylor and Kaysia Thompson.

Bolster Group appoints Jonathan Mandel as head of media

Bolster Group, an Australian entertainment and culture marketing agency, has appointed adtech specialist Jonathan Mandel as its head of media. His new role that will see Mandel lead a team of 10 media specialists to significantly expand the group's digital solutions and ad-tech capabilities. Mandel brings more than 15 years of experience to the role – charting career beginnings as a client-side digital strategy specialist to more recent leadership roles in sales and operations.

AI data platform company VAST DATA has appointed Marianne Budnik to chief marketing officer

She will lead all marketing functions including product marketing, field marketing, customer advocacy, communications and public relations, content, creative and brand strategy. Budnik will partner closely with VAST Data co-founder Jeff Denworth, who will maintain his responsibilities leading the company’s product and commercial strategies.
