It's hard to keep up with all the latest moves across media, marketing and advertising, so we've made a list. Check out some of the biggest moves this week.

CHEP Network grabs Wunderman Thompson's Robert Stone as director of people and culture

CHEP Network has appointed Robert Stone director of people and culture. Stone will be leading the agency’s people and culture initiatives, in addition to joining the businesses executive leadership team. Stone joins from Wunderman Thompson where he held the role of chief people officer across Australia and New Zealand. Stone has also held senior leadership positions at McCann in the UK, Asia and in Australia, and Adidas in Germany, where he oversaw the brand’s largest talent initiative in its history.

Duncan Bell joins Reconnected as strategy partner

Duncan Bell has joined Reconnected as business partner to lead the strategic product within the agency. Launched by Jake Ford earlier this year, Reconnected is focused on striking the optimal long and short marketing balance through a commercial bottom-up orientation with the power of a full-service agency.

Ogilvy Sydney taps global market for trio of senior hires

Ogilvy Sydney’s senior ranks have expanded, with Jane Jacob coming from Johannesburg to take up the head of strategy role in Sydney, Clare Lambert from London as Sydney client lead, and Emily Shum as CX director, coming from Paris. All appointments are effective immediately.

Murmur names Craig Sue head of media planning

Multi-channel media agency Murmur-Group has appointed Craig Sue head of media planning, supported by Janice Chan in the role of senior account manager. Sue, previously holding senior roles at CHEP and before that at Digital Media, brings more than two decades of media strategy, client engagement and commercial and investment planning.

Koto appoints new ECD to lead APAC studio

Brand and digital studio Koto has appointed Melissa Baillache as executive creative director for its Sydney studio, one month following its official launch in the APAC region. Baillache, formerly ECD at For The People, reunites with Damian Borchok, with whom she had a successful eight-year collaboration.

Nick Cleaver joins Bench Media's advisory board

Bench Media has appointed industry leader Nick Cleaver to its advisory board. Cleaver has a track record of growing multi-disciplined businesses, including 16 years at DDB Australia as CEO/chairman, launching  Tribal, Mango, Remedy and bringing Rapp inhouse. He was a non-executive director at OMD and he broadened the capabilities and scaled the operations of 303 MullenLowe before selling to IPG. 

Renée Chaplin named VP of APAC for Constant Contact

Renée Chaplin has become vice president of APAC for Constant Contact, a digital marketing and automation platform. Based in the company’s APAC headquarters in Brisbane, Chaplin brings over 20 years of experience growing B2B brands. She will help drive broader awareness and adoption of Constant Contact’s digital marketing platform in APAC and deliver value to customers in that region.

Bastion Reputation hires journalist Katrina Shute

For-purpose corporate and public affairs consultancy Bastion Reputation has appointed Katrina Shute principal consultant, leading its Training and Capability practice. Shute, with more than 20 years experience in television, radio, and print media, brings a wealth of expertise in media training, journalism, and audience engagement. As an on-camera reporter and anchor for Network Ten spanning more than a decade, Shute has covered events across the news spectrum, including major political stories and emergency incidents, with a specialisation in health. 

The Sweetshop elevates Greg Fyson to co-MD role

Global production company The Sweetshop has promoted Greg Fyson to the position of co managing director to lead alongside current managing director, Edward Pontifex. Melanie Bridge, The Sweetshop’s Global co-CEO and founding partner, said: “Greg’s unwavering dedication to our business, our directors, and the incredible culture he’s nurtured in our Sydney office are something to be celebrated. We’re looking forward to witnessing the exciting changes this move will undoubtedly bring to the business.”

The Company We Keep appoints Charles Turner to MD

The Company We Keep, a full sensory experience agency, has appointed Charles Turner to the newly created role of MD, who most recently served as head of integrated production with George P. Johnson Australia & New Zealand. In this newly created role, Turner will be responsible for performance operations and quality control to maintain the The Company We Keep’s company culture and standards.
